Binance Blockchain Week Chooses Turkey to Host Thousands of Web3 Enthusiasts

Binance

Binance invites crypto and blockchain enthusiasts to join the discussion on the future of Web3 during Binance Blockchain Week in Istanbul, Turkey.

The accelerated growth of the Web3 ecosystem was a surprising result of the current bear market, known as “crypto winter”. Developers and businesses saw the flattening of prices as an opportunity to focus on construction, and innovation accelerated.

True to the phrase “A bear market is good for building,” Web3 development has reached new heights on many fronts, from decentralized finance (DeFi) to gaming and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The momentum of innovation brought the need to come together and talk about the latest and greatest crypto and blockchain trends that would shape the future of Web3.

After bringing together thousands of Web3 enthusiasts in Dubai and Paris in 2022, leading crypto exchange Binance has revealed that it has chosen Istanbul, Turkey as the address for its next flagship event, Binance Blockchain Week 2023.

Binance Blockchain Week 2023 Preview

Scheduled for November 8-9 at Divan Kuruçeşme, Binance Blockchain Week 2023 will provide a platform for innovators, policymakers, thought leaders, and blockchain enthusiasts to come together and participate in the discussion on how to bring the next billion users to Web3 while enjoying the grandeur of the Bosphorus.

Through two main stages, the event will bring together a hundred influential people for enriching discussions on critical topics related to the future of Web3. Attendees will have the opportunity to build new relationships and collaborate on solutions for the ecosystem while exploring the latest industry innovations, trends and challenges.

Binance expects over 2,000 people to attend the conference, with attendance not limited to Web3 enthusiasts from Turkey, but including interested parties from around the world. Additionally, many more attendees will have the opportunity to follow Binance Blockchain Week Istanbul online via Binance Live.

Explaining the main purpose of the event, Binance Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer Yi He said that Binance aims to “continue to build the Web3 and blockchain industry together, developing its potential to improve financial fairness and positively impact society as a whole.”

Istanbul: the intersection of history and innovation

Binance chose Istanbul as the location for its flagship event because, as Turkey’s business hub, the city combines historical features with an openness to the future, blending “old-world charm with bold new-world innovation.” Turkey is also known as a leading country in crypto adoption and curiosity.

Istanbul acts as a strategic geographical bridge between Europe and Asia. After serving as a regional business hub for centuries, the city has brought many international collaborations to the blockchain space thanks to its accessibility and established startup ecosystem. Binance has been fully operational in the country since 2020, and the crypto exchange chose Turkey to launch its first customer service center in April 2022.

Noting that Turkey is a strong backbone of the global crypto ecosystem, Yi He said:

“[Turkey] is a dynamic destination for attendees to learn more about blockchain and be part of the new era of finance as we come together in a leading innovation region to build the future of the industry together.
