Season 4 is live in Call of Duty: Warzone 2, and the big update overhauls the DMZ menu and progression systems to provide quality-of-life improvements and faster story faction leveling. Here’s everything you need to know about faction reputation and leveling in DMZ Season 4.
How to Gain Faction Reputation in the DMZ
Previously, DMZ only offered one way to level up factions and unlock story missions for each. This method was a massive chore with increasingly difficult missions to complete. With the new reputation system in Season 4, players have more than one way to unlock story missions. This reputation is earned by completing Faction Missions or Urgent Missions.
Faction Missions
Last season’s DMZ mission progress has been wiped, meaning all players start Season 4 with a new set of missions for each faction. This is a mix of new and reworked missions from previous seasons. The biggest difference this season is that completing them will now reward you with faction reputation, which is the new way to level up factions and unlock story missions.
Urgent assignments

Urgent Missions can be found in the Comms Station section of the new tab in the DMZ Upgrades menu. These are time-limited missions that serve as smaller tasks than normal faction missions. These tasks will be rotated daily, so you will have urgent missions to complete each day you log into the game. However, these must first be unlocked by completing an objective for each faction.
- Soft black: Mine with a full backpack with every slot filled.
- white lotus: Complete the “Mysterious Letter” mission for the Black Mous faction
- Crown: Reach reputation level 2 with Crown to unlock
- Phalanx: Complete the “Icebreaker” mission for the Black Mous faction
The first mission for each faction is pretty straightforward and offers 100-200 reputation, so it shouldn’t take long for you to start leveling up.
With the addition of Urgent Missions, you are no longer required to complete specific faction missions to unlock weapon slots. You can bypass difficult faction missions and level up different factions in DMZ by also earning reputation through urgent missions.
Season 4 also includes the new Vondel map for DMZ. There are no unlock requirements needed to play this new map, but there are requirements to reach the other DMZ exclusion zones.
