Emmerdale reveals the truth about Jai Sharma’s biological father next week.
Jai gets the answers he desperately needs when his father Rishi and mother Georgia visit him the morning of his wedding to Laurel Thomas.
Recent episodes have explored Jai’s shock upon learning that he had been adopted by Rishi.
Rishi confirmed that Georgia was Jai’s biological mother, but declined to share details about the identity of the mysterious father.

Next week, family tensions escalate when Georgia visits the village before Jai and Laurel’s wedding.
Georgia is now played by the former EastEnders star Lin Blakley, after show bosses recast the role.
Jai doesn’t give Georgia a warm welcome as he blames her for not telling him the truth years ago. Laurel urges him to solve the problems for the good of all.
Depressed by the harsh way Jai treats him, Rishi hits the bottle to comfort himself.

Laurel is shocked when an inebriated Rishi makes a hurtful comment about her past abortion. Georgia is furious with Rishi for making the situation worse.
The next day, Jai and Laurel try to focus on their wedding by dressing up for the happy occasion.
The mood turns sour again when Rishi and Georgia visit Mulberry Cottage.
Finally ready to be honest with Jai, a hesitant Rishi finally shares the identity of the businessman’s biological father.

Jai reacts badly to the news, prompting Rishi to storm out. However, once Jai has had time to think, he tells Georgia that he would like her and Rishi to attend the wedding.
Georgia leaves a voicemail for Rishi, urging him to attend the ceremony. Rishi listens to the message, but is still unsure if he should attend.
Later, Jai and Laurel happily exchange their vows in a beautiful ceremony, but Jai is upset at Rishi’s absence on his happy day. Can the family breakup ever be repaired?
