Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale Star Will Ash has opened up about the possibility of his ruthless character Caleb Miligan getting revenge on his attacker.
One of Caleb’s enemies tries to get rid of him forever in Thursday’s (June 15) hour-long episode, following him through the woods and pushing him out of a ravine.
Show bosses have confirmed that Caleb is later rescued from the scene, but his ultimate fate is uncertain as he remains in a coma in next week’s episodes.

Speaking about whether Caleb will want revenge if he regains consciousness, Will said digital spy and other media: “All his life he held a grudge that he was taken into custody, his mother abandoned him and his family abandoned him. His father wanted nothing to do with him.
“Caleb is one of those people who will hold a grudge for a long time. He will feel like someone tried to kill him, basically, so once he finds out who it is, the gun will be loaded for that no one, definitely!”
Asked when he found out about the story, Will continued: “I found out just before we were doing all the scenes with Caleb trying to get hold of Home Farm. I knew the attack would be tied to this. that the fallout was from that – and I knew there would be quite a few people in the frame.
“I was excited about that. It’s always nice to say that the character could be killed off. That’s fine, just the conflict that can come out of that and the potential of who he could be, I was pretty excited about That. “

Thursday’s episode sees Caleb unapologetic for his actions when his enemies confront him in a tense showdown at the Woolpack.
However, despite this arrogant front, Will confirmed that Caleb regrets the way he treated three members of his family during his quest for Home Farm.
He said: “I think Caleb very much regrets the way he treated Nicky. He became so obsessed with Home Farm, and claiming what he thought was his inheritance and avenging his father’s death, that he has just lost sight of everything else. Caleb starts to see how badly he treated Nicky and how horrible he was.
“It’s a common thread, but I also think he feels bad for using Cain and Moira’s farm as collateral. He had every best intention of paying them back and looking after them, but he’s very sorry for ruining that relationship, really.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1 and airs on ITVX.
