Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale Star Amy Walsh has teased the future storylines of her character Tracy Metcalfe and Nate Robinson following their rocky marriage.
Monday’s (July 3) visit to the village revealed that Tracy and Nate are a couple again, after meeting in secret a few months ago.
Tracy and Nate went to Hotten Town Hall for a low-key wedding ceremony, which was marred by a dramatic intervention from Nate’s father, Cain Dingle.
Cain was worried that Nate was trying to ruin Tracy’s wedding day, so he kidnapped him to keep him away. When he later realized that Nate himself was the groom, Cain asked local vicar Charles Anderson to hold an unofficial ceremony at the church.

Talk to digital spy and other media on the sequel, Amy explained, “We think it would be interesting to show that Tracy and Nate’s love has prevailed. They’re not just getting back together for their daughter Frankie, it’s because they love each other.
“Then we think it would be a really interesting thing to just watch this happy couple go through life – and the bumps in the road that you naturally encounter and go through.
“I just think that’s so true in life. Work takes you away from each other, and with parenting in general, it’s really hard to keep your relationship alive. I’m sure there’s probably more extreme situations that could test them!
“Tracy’s wish has always been to have that perfect family life that she didn’t have. She’s always striving to achieve that and Nate is the same.”

Amy promised that future episodes will explore Tracy and Nate’s strong bond as a couple.
She said: “It’s like domestic bliss, hit with all the bumps that come with it. So they have work issues coming up, but which is really nice to see, in the next episodes coming after the marriage is about hitting those bumps and riding over them.
“You keep seeing the strength that they have as a couple – they’re going through each other, which is really nice.”
Amy has now returned to Emmerdale full-time after her lifetime maternity leave. She most recently starred in the series’ 50th anniversary episodes last October.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1 and airs on ITVX.
