Emmerdale’s Wendy is mortified as Victoria finds out about her affair

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

EmmerdaleWendy Posner is about to be mortified when Victoria Sudgen finds out about her secret affair with Liam Cavanagh.

Wendy and Liam were brought together last month by a shared passion for murder mystery stories and soon their friendship led to more.

While Liam is newly single after splitting from wife Leyla late last year, Wendy is in a serious relationship with Bob Hope.

But to complicate matters further, Bob has his own issues as he grows closer to Bernice, even though nothing has happened between them…yet.

In the upcoming scenes, the chemistry sizzles in the cafe between Wendy and Liam as he writes on his laptop. But when an enthusiastic Lydia enters the scene after learning that Liam is writing a novel, a jealous Wendy leaves.

Later, Lydia continues to pitch Liam’s ideas for her novel, but her involvement only annoys Wendy further. Jealous of seeing Lydia giving Liam writing advice, Wendy breaks up the little party.

The next day, Bob presents Wendy with a new purse, which later turns out to be an important clue to a suspicious village resident.

When Liam surreptitiously but deliberately leaves a few pages of his novel at the B&B, Wendy rushes to take the bait and pick up the papers. The next day, Liam is thrilled to have Wendy back on board as editor, but is surprised when she wants to rekindle the affair as well.

Meanwhile, Victoria discovers the connection between Bob and Bernice and suspects that something is going on between them. Soon, Victoria confronts Bob who, looking for an excuse, tells her that Bernice is still in love with Liam. But their conversation is heard by Bernice who is furious.

Shortly after, Victoria calls to tell Liam that Bernice still has feelings for him, but her disheveled appearance and Wendy’s new handbag on the couch make her suspicious.

Later, Victoria tells Wendy that she knows about her affair and Wendy implores her to keep it a secret. Will Victoria keep quiet and her knowledge lead Wendy to end the affair?

Talk to digital spy Last month, Jonny McPherson, who plays Liam, explained why Wendy is a much better match for Liam than his ex Leyla.

“They definitely have more common interests. Leyla was all about weddings and nails. Liam loves Wendy and he loves that she’s so into the news,” McPherson said.

“Liam had a hard time, for a very long time. It was good for him to suddenly have the pleasure of writing these stories. It’s also refreshing that he can now have someone to talk about the stories with, after previously keeping it a secret. It’s fun to collaborate on this hobby that Liam enjoys so much. He also loves the costumes when they attend the convention together.”
