FUBAR is coming back for a season 2. During Netflix TUDUM in June 2023, Netflix unveiled a new blooper reel along with the news that season 2 is in development.
FUBAR is a Netflix Original action-comedy series directed by Nick Santora which was released on May 25, 2023. Netflix had to eliminate some serious competition to acquire FUBARultimately winning an intense bidding war for what would become Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first TV role in over five decades of acting.

“A father and daughter have both worked as CIA agents for years, but each hid their involvement in the CIA from the other, making their entire relationship a gigantic lie. The series was officially renewed during Netflix’s TUDUM event in Brazil on June 17, 2023. The announcement was accompanied by a clip of bloopers from the first season.
We predicted a renewal in early June, citing The FUBARs upcoming appearance on TUDUM but also due to the show’s strong performance in its first few weeks on the service.
How well has FUBAR played on Netflix?
We can watch The FUBARs performance in its first month thanks to many sources, which gives us an idea of how the show performed.
Let’s start with Netflix’s own stats provided via the Top 10 site.
Here are the hourly performances from week to week for FUBAR so far with three weeks of data.

Although the show did not increase its viewership from week 1 to week 2, we saw remarkable uptake, especially given the high numbers in week 1. If we compare the show’s performance to d other Netflix Original series which have all been renewed and are in relatively similar genres, we can see that the show is going well from week 2.

Where is the series performing best on Netflix? Well, it turns out the show holds up and performs well worldwide, according to FlixPatrol, with an impressive position in Netflix’s daily top 10.
Their data suggests that the show performed well in North America, Europe, India, and Australia.

What about external demand scores? TelevisionStats.com currently gives the series a “good engagement” score of 13.31 and has tracked the show in the top 10 of all shows (not just Netflix) for seven days.
What to expect from FUBAR Season 2?
Tina as a Russian double agent!?
The biggest twist of the season came near the end of the season when it was revealed that Tina is a Russian double agent who has been spying on the CIA and NSA the whole time. Her true motives have yet to be revealed, but she may be trying to drain every last drop of information she can get from the CIA before reporting back to her Russian comrades.
Why is Tina helping Luke and the CIA?
Although she is a Russian double agent, her true motives have yet to be revealed. Plus, helping Luke, Emma, and the other CIA secret agents is a great way to conceal your identity and keep spying on the CIA.

The dysfunctional family on the run
With their identities revealed, Luke, Emma and the rest of the CIA team will be on the run from the vast criminal network they have thwarted.
Nowhere will be safe, and a man of Luke’s size will find it hard to blend in. Expect plenty of hilarious attempts to stay hidden from the criminal network, with plenty of hilarious results.

Will Luke and Emma get closer?
Faced with persistence, especially multiple death-defying situations, Luke and Emma will eventually bond as father and daughter.

When could we expect to see a second season of FUBAR on Netflix?
Release dates are especially difficult to predict with the ongoing WGA strike.
Filming for the first season was said to have taken place between May 2, 2022 and August 25, 2022. This means that the time between the start of filming and the series’ release on Netflix was just over 12 months.
Between pre-production, filming and post-production, at a minimum, it could take more than fourteen to fifteen months.
Considering all this, we are not waiting FUBAR back at least until mid-to-late 2024.
