The next week, Leah Patterson tells Justin that she would like Andrew to stay with them permanently. However, there are warning signs that Andrew may already be questioning his future on the bay.
Andrew confides in Leah’s nephew, Theo Poulos, pointing out that the Vita Nova members are still out there and he could be in danger.
Leah steps in and tries to reassure Andrew that no one is going to hurt them, but Theo is alarmed when he finds the teenager guarding the house in the middle of the night while clutching a kitchen knife for protection.
Andrew later disappears with the knife and plans to leave the bay to ensure Justin, Leah, and Theo’s safety. Theo intercepts Andrew on his way and urges him to stay.

Later, local police officer Rose Delaney shows up. Justin and Leah hope she will ease Andrew’s spirit, but she does the opposite admitting that she cannot guarantee his safety as most of the Vita Nova members will not be charged.
